The province of Trapani is full of beautiful places, suitable for any type of visitor. From the crystalline sea of Egadi to the art masterpieces of Erice and Selinunte, the choice is very wide.
Reachable from Marsala and Trapani by hydrofoil or ferry, the archipelago of the Egadi is made up of the islands of Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo, plus some smaller islands (including the islands of the Stagnone of Marsala), which form a delicate ecosystem and pristine dominated by a blue crystal sea.
About 20 km from Marsala, enclosed in the hills, lies the ancient city founded by the Elimi in the ninth century BC.
Of particular beauty the Doric-Sicilian Temple of the fifth century BC and the greek theater of the third century BC.
The main town of Erice, seat of the International Scientific Centre “Ettore Majorana”, is a perfectly preserved medieval village in terms of architectural and landscape. The narrow streets of the city center and the view you can enjoy are extremely charming and fascinating.
Reachable from Trapani by bus, car or cable car, Erice is also famous for its sweet specialties (Genovese cream and almond cakes), and for its pottery.
San Vito Lo Capo and Zingaro Natural Reserve
